The findings in full

Registered scope. Covers wholesale and retail of houseware and daily necessities, with no manufacturing item. The company presented itself as the manufacturer and supplied photographs of a production line. On the filings it is a trading company.

Ownership and control. Seventy per cent held by an individual who controls two further entities, one of which is the proposed invoicing party and the subject of the enforcement cases. The facility shown during the video call is registered to a fourth, unrelated company.

Payment and invoicing. The proforma invoice directs payment to a Hong Kong account held in the name of a third company. The account name does not match the counterparty’s registered legal name. Paying it would leave no contractual claim against the entity quoted above.

Certificates. ISO 9001 certificate supplied, number checked against the issuing body’s register: no record found. Two further test reports verified as genuine but issued for a different product category.

If you proceed anyway

  • Contract with, and pay, the entity whose USCI appears in this report, not the proposed invoicing party
  • Treat the counterparty as a trading company and inspect before shipment rather than on arrival
  • 30% deposit, 70% released against passed pre-shipment inspection
  • Pay only an account held in the name on this report; refuse the Hong Kong third-party account
  • Require a current ISO certificate you can verify yourself

Scope and limitations: based on public filings as at the report date. Not legal advice. No assurance is given as to future conduct. Sources: National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System; China Judgements Online.

“Capacity is 40,000 units a month.”Not verifiable on a single visit. Output records offered for one month only.
“We hold ISO 9001.”Certificate displayed. Number checked against the issuing body’s database: not found.
“The warehouse is next door.”Requested, not shown. Host stated it was closed that day.

“Requested, not shown” is usually the most informative line in the report. A refusal is a finding, and we record it without comment.
